Mr. Karim holds a B.Sc. Production & Industrial Engineering degree majoring in Welding & Metallurgy. He has spent almost 9 years in the fields of Mechanical Inspection, Quality Control & NDT for in-service & construction of Oil & Gas plants & Petrochemical Industries. His area of expertise covers NDT Level III, Welding Inspection, Quality Assurance & Quality Control. His in-service experience covered internal, external, planned & unplanned inspection of all static equipments; conventional & non-conventional NDT techniques for detection & reveal potential damage mechanism & to report the findings & recommendations to Corrosion & Inspection. He has been involved in 6 Turnarounds, 4 Shutdowns & 3 Mega Construction projects from kick-off meeting to pre-commissioning phase.
Mr. Karim is also a NDT Trainer, conducting trainings & examinations for Egyptian Welding Academy & Oil & Gas Skills in the related fields. He also holds certifications such as: ASNT NDT Level III (MT, PT, UT, RT, VT), PCN Level III (UK), SNT-TC-1A Level II, API 510 (Pressure Vessel Inspector), API 570 (Piping Inspector) & CSWIP 3.1.
