Mr. Sherief has been working in Process Engineering & Technical Services in oil refineries for about 43 years including managerial level in SOPC (Egypt), KNPC (Kuwait) & QP (Qatar). He has wide experience in preparing Feasibility Studies, FEED & EPIC Tender Documents along with reviewing the process activities during these different phases. His skills include carrying out Commissioning Activities for many downstream units such as Crude, Naphtha HTU, Hydrocracker, Hydrogen Production Unit, CCR, HTU(s) for Jet Fuel, Gas Oil, & LCO, VRU, Gas Sweetening, Sulfur Recovery Unit, Utilities, Off-sites, etc. Besides performing the Process Guarantees Acceptance Tests for the entire refinery.
He also has extensive experience in Trouble Shooting, Improving the Gross Margin, Reducing the Operating Cost, etc.
He was the Chairman of the PCR (Plant Change Request) Committee which was responsible for all modifications in the refinery from feasibility study until commissioning. He was the Team Leader of many Incident Investigation & Root Cause Analysis Committees.
Mr. Sherief prepared training manuals for operations along with conducting training courses to KNPC staff as part of the KNPC (MAB) expansion project staff training.
He submitted many technical papers in different conferences.
